Is it possible to switch WMU after entering the draw in Ontario? I know I will be able to hunt WMU 46 but may have permission to hunt some private land in WMU 49. I won't know about 49 until the summer time probably so I don't want to put it as my first choice.

Also will it give me a choice for bow or gun, or can you use the same tag for both seasons if you are not successful with your bow?

You're able to use your seal on an antlered deer anywhere in Ontario. Meaning you can apply for 46 but shoot a buck in 49.

You are not able to switch your anterless tag once you have applied. The permits are issued. Once they're gone, they dont issue any more. The exception would be additional tags, but ive only ever seen that once in 49, and after the winter we're getting, its not going to happen this fall. I live and hunt in the area.

When I applied online it gave you the option to have an alternate WMU. Did you put your first choice as 46 and your 2nd choice as 49? If you did maybe you will get lucky. As Sabre said an antlerless seal is good for a doe in the WMU it is issued for, or a buck anywhere else. I am not sure about using the same tag for both bow and gun seasons. Give the MNR a call and ask... I suspect you would be allowed to use the same tag. Good luck on your antlerless draw!
