retired from the military after losing a leg above the knee while playin in the sandbox...moved to BC from the prairies and realized that there was no longer a need to have 6 thousand dollars worth of guns...lookin to post some of them as soon as I figure out how to load a picture onto the site

Welcome here and thank you for your service. Sorry re the loss. As for selling off everything think about it for awhile.
You may find bench rest shooting and bullseye pistol shooting coupled with reloading . A very rewarding switch.
I was at a PPC match some years ago. The officer was confined to a wheel chair. He shot the match from his chair using the barricade positions like everyone else, but seated. Heck of good shot.
Best wishes on your recovery though. buck..

Welcome to CGN Morden. Sorry to hear that you had to be in the vehicle that got hit, assuming that it was an IED. What roto were you on?

Most of the guys around here are pretty good, and you'll likely learn a few things while being entertained.

I speak for a few of us when I say we're looking forward to seeing your toys.

thank you for your sacrefice. and re think your mind. you don't need to sell everything you lost a leg not your trigger finger and your sight. once a gunner always a gunner. may st-barbara protect us from our evil ennemy.

Welcome in! The easiest way to get photos in your posts is to get a free photobucket account. You can then list pic links or use the direct picture link that will show the picture in the thread when it's opened. Keep your pic resolution low and photos relatively small.

Good Luck and feel free to PM me if you can't figure it out.

Our privilege to have you here. Welcome aboard.

(As much as I have a nasty habit to feed, don't be too quick on giving up your toys yet!!!)

Welcome to the site... sorry to hear about what happened... It must be very hard at first, but I truly hope you will conquer your challenges and come out of it victorious.

Having said that, don't view this as a need to sell your guns, unless of course you wish to take on other hobbies and need the money. All the best to you and enjoy your stay here. Give it a try, you may actually appreciate the discussions going on these forums... I know I do.

:welcome:

You will not be without friends here. Some of us are older some of young. Me I'm one of the Old Guard. My basic firearms CF training was with the C1 and C2 7.62mm Canada's Number 1 . I first started with the 303.

We are all here to help each other and promote the shooting sports. Though the conversation gets heated. buck

Very sorry for your loss friend, but rethink the decision to sell. I haven't seen to many people at the range with physical disabilities, but I would encourage you to keep shooting.

Good luck with the recovery.

Sorry guys ...may have misled. I am not giving away the guns cause of my leg...I am a bowhunter at heart so climbin a treestand is no biggie, nor is ridin a motorcycle or jumpin outa a perfectly servicable aircraft to do lawndart practice. I am sellin them because I can't see myself trudgin to the range by myself in the middle of the day while the rest of you are at work. Still feel sorry for me?:D didn't think so...and no Veterans didn't screw me...I am well looked after which is why I don't work:cool:k It's just time to thin the collection instead of them collectin dust...when I was in Manitoba I could just blast a few rounds off the back porch, here in nanaimo they frown on such things so...a posting I will go. UBIQUE

Your just the ticket for guys that work shift and for those of us that are thinking of putting in our papers. Your available for mid week range days. Best part of the week. More fun with a group of buddies.
