Any 303 British ammo available anywhere??

I have been taking ammo inventory guess 303 used to sell for 8:95 a box at one time. Except when you open a box of 30-30 and a dip#### brother had 303 in it instead and the same for 30-06 not sure what went thru that guys head.

A buck eighty per round is an outstanding retail price for an obscure 30 cal round in today's market. Look at what 308 rounds go for.

Not all of us are a hundred years old and have been reloading since the 80's

Interesting! We old folks call back then the "good ol days".Might be some truth in that.I have been reloading since 1975 and I have quite a ways to go till I hit 100.In 1975 100 LR primers cost me $0.79/sleeve. On the other hand I had a great collection of S&W N frame revolvers which are currently worth zip in our country.

OK I agree $1.80 seems like a fair current price for factory 303 SP but to imply the only way folks can reload economically is because they are incredibly old and bought their stash in in the 80's is kind of off base. I am not that old and was able to pick up LR primers and powder for 5 cents/each and powder for $35-50/lb right before COVID 5 years ago. I saw the writing on the wall and as usual stocked up whenever a deal presented. Consequentially I can indefinitely reload twenty 303 rounds from $7-13 depending on cast or fmj projectiles and won't ever be a buyer for the factory stuff at $1.80/round or more. So yes if your new to shooting the current ammo prices suck but if you have been around for at least 5 years and now complain you didn't have the foresight to anticipate ammo futures might suck well that's on you not the old guys.

apu - That's right about foresight - I've only been shooting in Canada for ca 15 years and I was sharp enuf to buy low back in 2018-20 - 22lr for $3-4/box, .223 for $15-ish and .308 for $1-1.50/rnd. -tho I wish I'd bought more SK & LAPUA when it was $8 & 15 / box instead of double that if you can find it. Down to my last few boxes of those. And NO LGSs or gun shows around me to 'shop around'.

Spot on!There were primer shortages on several occasions years ago . I shot IPSC then, using 45ACP (that tells you how long ago that was!). I still have a case (5,000) of large pistol primers I bought at the beginning of that shortage. After that every time I visited a LGS if I didn't find something I needed/wanted I'd pick up some primers, powders, or 22s. Now that I have been declared incredibly old I am getting busy shooting my supply up before it goes bad or I check out.

Seems like a good price, about half of local options, albeit North American made options.
Stuff isn't as ubiquitous as it once was.
Apples to apples comparisons were appreciated

when i go to the range i shoot about 50 rds of 303 and it does not break my wallet as i cast my own and the cost i greatly reduced. i have 1000lbs of ww so i am not worried for some time to come. my lead supply will probable outlive me.

How heavy (grains) are the projectiles?

Im still hoping to find some old farmer with several cases os surplus in their barn that they traded a bag of apples and a chicken for back in 1962...

But until then I might have to order a case or two, its $340/200. Would give me reloading brass for the next few years.
