any .410 shells in the country?

I found some #6 within a 2 min search online, ammobin.

Ya ammobin is pretty much useless, once you click on the link, you will see that the respective store is out of stock.

There are a few boxes of 7.5, 8s and 9's still on line, but that's not what most 410 users are looking for.

I still have some #6 3" magnums (should have stocked up years ago). That shot size seems to work best for grouse when they are behind branches. Always looking for .410...

I bought my wife a new Mossy 500 410 last year, and sensing ammo shortages everywhere, bought 10 boxes of #6's. She is now the envy of the town, the only chick with ammo, lol.

Every store here has .410 in stock, it’s marked up about 2.5-3 times actual cost, so most people have left it. I was in a relatively remote area in Northern Ontario and they had a few boxes for 54$ a piece for 2.5” 7.5s.

I would look for Challenger because they are domestically produced.

The .410 shortage is mostly fabricated.

Not out west, it seems... All too real. $54/box is pretty outrageous, but I bet they'd sell out here.

A buddy & I were chatting on the w/e... he's dusted off his old 28 gauge single shot to use on road chickens because he can't find any .410 ammo, but EVERYONE has 28 gauge shells! That would have been unthinkable 10 years ago..

Not true. A few stores have a couple of boxes here and there. When internet sales basically dry up, you know things are getting bad. The guy at our local store in town claims that he has had 410 on order now for over a year, and is regularly checking with his suppliers. The one store left in Thunder bay told me they had some 410 come in the other day, first order in a long time, and it was instantly sold.

I switched to 28 gauge this year too. If you are a regular 28 gauge user, better buy that while you can as well. In a two week period, on line supplies of 28 gauge have become more scarce as well.

Just an update....I sent a message to the Challenger company in Quebec. Got a nice response, the gist of it is that they are having problems getting the brass and casings, but are expecting to go back into production in early in 2023.
