Yeah, it's decidedly outside my price range. That said, it's nice to know it exists.
Might there be market potential (and legal compliance) for a receiver-swap within an existing PCC?
Similar strategy to MRA Renegade (but aimed at a specific PCC that was commonplace prior to Dec 2024 OIC).
Goal would be to replace the existing "Prohibited" receiver (semi-auto action) with a new "Non-restricted" receiver (e.g. bolt, lever, pump action).
All other (non-serialised) parts would remain as is and be repurposed, reducing cost.

I am sure in time the market will cater to whatever there is an appetite for and what you propose may form part of that.
It is getting harder and harder to muster the effort (and finances) to move from platform to platform as they get banned for political points by our Liberal overlords.
What is toughest of all is that what is left is simply not as good. Maybe I am jaded because I experienced the better quality firearms but it sucks to move to something heavier / clunkier / slower.

Wouldnt helped as the lower is the registered part.
So the trigger group is the reg. part, I think if you change it to bolt rifle. I would say you would have a chance.
Wouldn't be the first prohibited to go back to NR...sterling full auto machinegun comes to mind..

I can slap a bolt action upper on an AR15. It is still an AR15. Wont change anything. Noticed alot of our guns are banned by name. I can pull the gas piston from a SKS and doesnt make it a bolt action.
The Sterlings that came to Canada were not NR, and were restricted. They were manafactured not FA from the get go. Why it wasnt a 12x gun. As converting a auto to a semi. Made it a converted auto.

Interesting...I would play that game...but in the long run..it doesn't really matter to me...I've had guns all my life..it's a way of life for me..so I don't see anyone coming to get them...use them as they were mean to be used for...not a "range toy" most of mine have a place...a working play..not the plinking kind.

Whatever wacky come and take them reply for being educated on it doesnt work that way. And saying this stuff makes you look like taking the nutz in gun nutz litterally.
Just because had guns all your life, doesn't mean you are educated.
I did some research a while back. If you wanted a straight pull AR the 5.45X39 bolt should work in conjunction with a 9mm AR barrel with a barrel extension. There are adapters that could be used in an AR mag well to use pistol magazines.

Maybe..but truthful..unlike most these day...crazy? Lol maybe..after all we've been going through "Liberal hate- ship" for the last 10 plus years with, little to no resistance..to any of there new attacks on our way of life..so you take ...as you " feel" seem to be the way it goes anymore.
And well I've put alot mile through the wood...gun safe..IS NUMBER ONE TO ME.

Thought it made sense..most of the hard parts made..just bolt together. If you look at the bolt setup already, with the lock open on the charging handle..it does look too far fetchered.
One option for certain kinds of handguns (especially Glocks) is to check out the various carbine frame offerings. You just drop your handgun into the frame and "voila" you have a 10 shot 9mm carbine (short barreled). Perfect for home defence. Some options are the Roni, MCK Mini, Apex, KPOS etc. You can usually mount red dots, lights, lasers as well. The downside i that it is still restricted and they are expensive.
