Anyone in the Victoria area build AR15s? I am almost done mine ,one Problem I am to damm cheap/broke to buy the barrel wrench and action block for a one time use . Any builders make there own wrench? the USGI one looks pretty simple to me, and what about a barrel vise? could one not just drill a hole out of 2 peices of aluminum clamped together? any ideas or do I have to save up and spend anouther $###

Barrel wrench I bought... can't help you there.
Action Block: Two pieces of 2x4's - but you must cut out the insides of both pieces to roughly the same shape as the Upper and then use some cloth or and old-TShirt for extra protection on the finish

if you pay for shipping, you can borrow my wrench. I'm in nanaimo. or you can come up and pick up. I'll need it back eventually as I intend to get FF rails. I don't have a vice block, although, i don't imagine it being a problem to make one using poured concrete and plastic wrap.
