Any Bear hunters going out this spring?

I've been missing my spring hunt so bad that last spring I slipped cross the Ottawa River to hunt em. I may go again this spring though last time was a bit of a bust.

Well the draw results are out and it is now official, I will definately be grizzly hunting again this year I was drawn in the same area that I shot my huge interior grizzly last year and I know that there is another huge one in the area...

lean , that's for sure , but taste depends entirely on what they get for food those first few days out , if they end up eating something disgusting it will end up being disgusting as well. And of course yes , i'll deinitely be out opening day here

Looking very forward to Spring bear & trout seasons.My partner and I have hunters booked for 3rd and 4th weeks of May,then we'll probably do some hunting for ourselves afterward.

Haven't got the bear bug this spring yet. But with 2 bows hanging in the closet that have yet to sample success in the field I'm sure the itch will come.

Luckily I don't have to take any time off as my bear hunting area is about a hour North of me.

Spring bear hunting in Alberta is terrible. It's cold, the weather is unpredictable, you'll likely get your truck stuck or have to hike into some tough land. By spring, the bear has likely leaned down a lot, so if you do eat the meat, you'll get less of it.

I'd strongly recommend you guys just give the season a break and stay home. I don't need the extra hunting pressure while I'm out

I can file for my PAL at the beginning and should get it in the middle of Region 3 Spring Bear season. Pumped to be able to hunt without the old man slowing me down lol.

expect a good 3 months b4 u get ur pal in the mail. as long as there are no problems with it along the way.

There was 2 mess ups with mine and it took like 6 months. they had truble getting a hold of one reference and I checked that i never lost a job but wrote that I quit one. completely messed up there computer and near lost my file.

Yeah...Im being Optimistic and hoping that they dont mess up with mine, or that by some miracle it gets through fast.

Dad doesnt like hunting Bear, so I have to wait for it to hunt them myself. My Weatherby's itching to drop a bear.
