Okay... So what's to stop anyone from making a target almost identical.... Not exactly like IDPA's "official" target and selling them here?
You mean to tell me they have that much control over what people in a foreign country can shoot at...?

My guess is...that if you want to have a "Sanctioned" match...you have to use approved targets (which I think is reasonable).

If you want to have an IDPA ish (ie not santioned by IDPA) match...get your tartgets where you want...

Ergo my bewilderment at why some so eagerly seek such sanctioning...
But... That's an entirely different thread...

If you want to be affiliated with IDPA, clubs must use IDPA targets. The target is copyrighted and Canadian copyright laws apply. I believe there are only four suppliers in the US. We have three due to the distances involved in shipping.

PM sent to the OP.

I ain't t lawyer... But how could this type of copy write ever be enforced..?
So I cut out the idpa target shape outta some cardboard, copy the scoring lines and draw them on and put on a match using idpa rules. How long before I get sued...???

According to the IDPA website there are six US suppliers and only two in Canada.

Who and where is the third supplier in Canada and why aren't they listed? Are they new?

I just spoke to our suplier in Ontario. He has targets and will ship to any of our clubs in Ontario and elsewhere. Delays over Christmas were due to some personal issues and new staff. This has been rectified. Please let me know if supply becomes an issue in the future.

You may contact me via email: Bob.Bonenfant@idpa.com
