Any Body Use a 9.3x57 Husky on Moose??

The most amazing thing about these nice rifles is their actual state when they show up here. Most are in v.g. condition and many are like new, if not unfired. Of course, we can also find the beaten ones. Seems a big lot of these rifles must have spent a long time into an armourer's wharehouse, somwhere in Sweden.
As for quantity imported, I can't say how many of them were imported, but it's a lot more than those showing up in this forum. Without counting all those rechambered to X62.
The Swedes (and the also the Finns) specialized in very well balanced rifles to fit their way of hunting, I mean running deer and moose with dogs and the use of peep sights with large apertures and a variety of front hood types was just a naturel step for them.

Noel, if I remember well, there was another cool picture you posted of the fine ram you harvester some years ago. Maybe OT, though.

Heres my 9.3x57.

That is a great looking rifle!:) Wish the 146's grip was finished round like the 46s are.

Here is the German Guild gun I used to have. One day I will likely regret selling it as it shot very well.

Baribal, not sure which pic you mean for the Ram. We did bump into a chap carrying a german built 98 Mauser in 9,3x64 Brenneke and it was real nice, even set up with Suhler mounts.

Other than that I don't have a 9,3 or a HVA for that matter and a ram in the same pic so it may get really OT fast.:D

 What model is my rifle?

dgradinaru,

Your rifle is a M/46, this model was produced from 1927 to 1937 in a estimated total of 13505 rifles.
Check out the HVA #### sticky, where you will find most of the HVA models pictured.
