Looking for a complete M1 Garand finished stock set (walnut)... Since it's over 100$, have split in 2 orders.... The only shipping available to Canada is USPS Express international wich is prohibitive......

I end up with 80$ shipping for a 120$ set.... that's crazy !

Any Canadian dealer that stock their stuff ?

Thanks !

Simon

If you do find one by the time they add the Canadian dealer mark up it would still be cheaper spending the $80. shipping. :D
Boyds have regular sales so you could get one under the limit. The US gov changed the limit to $200. not long ago. But most US dealers still say $100.

Are you sure about those shipping charges? I ordered a Garand set from Boyds a few years back and no way was the shipping $80. Wait until Boyds has a sale and get it under $100. That might effect the shipping charges.

I just had a look at the receipt I have from Boyd’s for the finished M1A stock I ordered from them in Jan/2011, USPS priority mail international shipping was $39.80
Shipping costs have doubled in the last 16 months

Do you have a link I could show the people at Boyds ?

Below is copied from Numrich (gunparts corp) site .

•Any order paid for with a foreign credit card MUST go to the foreign country.
•Any order paid for with a USA based credit card can be shipped to any allowed foreign country. Please click here to see the complete list of restricted countries.
•Foreign orders with purchased parts value exceeding $100 ($200 for Canada) are not accepted.
•Foreign orders containing restricted parts, requiring an export license from the U.S. Department of State are not accepted, since we no longer do any licensing for the State Department .

I bought a stock directly from Boyd's recently for my Norc 305.....great service, had it in less than a week....looks awesome!

Buy from Boyd's direct, any Canadian dealer will charge more $$$ anyway since none (that I know of) import in quantity.
