Hey guys,I'm turning 40 in a couple of weeks and the wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday.Does anybody have any experience with the 10/22VLEH TACTICAL? It seems to have a few upgrades over the regular 10/22 that I would do anyway. Ruger says the trigger is adjustable? Is the barrel decent or close to after market quality? All i would be looking at doing is some bolt or action mods once I get it.
Thanks
Dave

thats funny i was going to post this same question yesterday about noon then just decided to drive out to my local shop and pick it up. i havent shot it yet, probably go out tonight but i needed a .22 to replace the 597vtr i just sold and was looking at the sr22 until i saw the vleh. seems to have preety much everything i would want to do already done to and the finish is of real quality.

Does it come with bipod?

I like the look of it and what are the stores asking for it ?? , I wonder how it compares to the DAR 22 from Dlask though ?
The DAR 22 is $549.00

i paid $469+ taxes, 12% here in bc from a place i said i would never shop as there not a sponsor. until now i have purchased every rifle i own at wanstalls but this shop had two in shock and i had the cash and wanted it now. yes it came with bipod. i dont want to mention the shop name here but lets just say its big, they have online stores, and yeah...

I had one a while ago. It shot great right out of the box with no mods required. IIRC the trigger group is the same as the Target model. The heavy short bbl is very nice and accurate.
The only neg (for me) was the weight. I ended up selling it because I'm more a carry & bolt guy.
You won't be disappointed.....

That's for the input, I've been reading the same comments over on rimfire central and snipers hide.Alot of guys say it shoots quite well out of the box but there is room for improvements,as with everything.
