I don't know whether to make a #### joke or to just sit back in awe of the manufacturing error that led to a levergun barrel being stuck onto a revolver LOL.

I sort of share that sentiment as well. It looks so ridiculous it has an identity crisis..... Is it a revolver or a rifle? The nice thing is you can get a quick change barrel for any application you like.

This is true. Unfortunately, for the vast majority of us, our applications are very limited... Shoot at paper on the range, shoot at steel on the range (some ranges, anyways), shoot at wood at the range, or shoot at milk jug at the range...
 
Is there someone that make a quad rail to mount a red dot and vertical grip?

You know..... the truth is the barrel shroud comes off with a single retaining nut. As crazy as it sounds, why wouldn't it work? Or perhaps the question to be asked is why would anyone want to? It wouldn't take much machining to fit a low pro AR type quad rail or series of barrel clamped rails the full length of the DW barrel and use factory sights or flip up, optics, etc and add whatever AR accessories you want. And everything would easily be removed and replaced back to factory original. If one could do it right so everything is in proper proportions........ Any creative photo shop'ers out there?? LOL!

I must had that I was kidding!

On the flip side if you could have a gunsmith manifacture a aftermarket 15" barrel that have no historical , rarity or aura about it. Then I would be cool since its a quick change! You could moumt a scout scope or a red dot, flashlight, laser, vertical grip whatever you want, you could turn it into a 300 yard gun with a good scope???? Then wen that one guy shows up at the range you can push of the pin , whip out your original DW barrel and regain your pride!!!

Thanks, I know! My socks almost burst into flame running for my VISA card. I started to get buyers remorse because I only had one photo to go by and it wasn't the best so it kind of looked like some blemishes in places. It turns out that it was just shadows and fuzziness from the bad pic. If I had to rate the condition I'd have to say MINT. Now I need to find a .44 and I'll be happy!
 
You never saw a Dan Wesson in any Dirty Harry movie ,maybe a S&W mod 29 . Plus take an allen wrench and pull the side plate and

the difference will become apparent quickly. The hand return spring on a DW is the size of a bic lighter spring,not saying anything bad

just two very different revolvers.
