Any dealers sell big 10/22 mags and a loader?

Hey guys, figured you all would know. Been looking around and cant find much, want to buy a bunch of big mags hopefully ones that can work with a mag loader....

While we're on it, any tips as to what type I should pick up?
 
you got buttler creek 25 rounds mags hot lips (plastic lips) steel lips (steel lips) they work with a speed loader. There is also Blue Line that is bringing in the GSG 110 round mags they haven't arrived yet so no telling how good they will be.
 
Questar carrys the 50rd drum there is a little filing needed, or u can take a chance and order the bx-25 from brownells but the again you will be in possesion of a prohibited device , and i wouldnt want to leed you in the wrong directin.......
 
Having just tried the butler creek hot lips mags in my SR-22, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They are a sloppy loose fit, and jam consistently every few rounds. I actually started wedging pieces of cardboard in back of the mag to try and find a sweet spot in the sloppiness where the rounds would feed.

Hot lips= Plastic feed lips that wear quickly and cause frustration.
Steel lips= Metal feed lips; the most available/cheapest/happy-making 25rd. magazine.

On loaders, I have the Butler Creek, it works well enough (as in: jams up a little bit 'til you get the trick of not overloading it, and the right way to wiggle it) but it's plastic, so I'm scared for the moving parts in the cold. Even with hiccups in loading, it's 3 times faster than pushing them in with your thumb.

Check your magazine plunger to see if it's gummed up, but the magazines are held in place by a spring meant to hold in the 10 rd. mags, all my banana mags have some slop to them. Check your feed lips for damage:(? You're not useing them for a monopod?
 
I have the butler creek mags (steel lipped). I had some FTF's until i took my dremmel and radius'd the edge of the mag that was being hit by the bolt. Not one issue since.

Operate the charging handle slowly and if you can feel the bolt hitting the lip you should do the same. A file would work too.
 
Yes go with the steel lip ones. I bought two of the plastic lip ones and they are almost wore out after 2 years of usage. My dad has the steel lip one and has never had an issue or a jam either. We just run the cheap federal ammo from the local co-op. 19 bucks for 525 rounds is the deal right now.
 
The two Hot lips mags I tested were brand new, so dirt wasn't an issue. And they never made it far enough for me to abuse them as a monopod. (lol)

I noticed a visible difference in the dimensions between the hot lips mags and the stock ruger mag. The hot lips appeared to be about 1/2 mm shorter. (Which would explain the slop)

If you buy the BC Steel Lips mags... consider spraying them with flat black Krylon, do four or five thin coats... they look a whole lot better when done and the Krylon is tough and wears well.
 
I can offer both styles of Butler creek mags.

And promag 32rds and drums.

The bolt shouldn't rub on the feed lips if running properly. I have use the plastic lipped BC mags for thousands of rds with no wear.

The promag 32 has an alloy top and runs very well.
