Marstar has a N870-14.00 for sale while Ellwood Epps has a CS500-14 Lawman... are these the same shotguns? One is $66 cheaper than the other... anyone know whats up?

A little bit of a curve ball here, but are these all the same:

Norinco HP9-1 $379
Norinco N870-14.00 $345
Norinco CS500-14 Lawman $279

They all look the same... are 14" etc.

Thanks.

My CS500-14 Lawman has "HP9" stamped on the receiver.

So it sounds like in all likelyhood they are all the same... tomorrow I am dropping by Epps to take a look at the "Lawman".

I was also told to look for "Homeland Security" labeled on there as well.

agit-prop - how has it worked for you? It seems for everyone that likes it and is completely reliable, there is someone else that trashes these (well that and just about anything out there)...

The only other route to get a short barrel SG is a Remington 870 with a DLASK barrel (which would run up to $700 ish for the gun and barrel?) or a Fabarm Martial (which runs $850 ish)... you can get almost 3 of the Norinco's, or just save ALOT of money, and have plenty of ammo...

Is it because the HP9 is a 4 rnd mag and the "Lawman" has a 5? Doesn't make sense that the lawman would be less $ but...? Maybe because the barrel on the Lawman won't fit on a regular Remmy but the HP9 will? Just spitballin' here.

They do apperar to be different at least in that respect.

Didn't someone post a 'would be' HP9-1 bought from somewhere and added a Knoxx spec ops only to realise that the receiver was different from that of the typically 870 copy?

The result showed that trigger guard was about a 1 cm from the normal contact point and the receiver dimensions were much different.

Edit: Here is the thread. I have no idea where this is actually the 'lawman' or not but here goes

As far as I know the N870-14 is the Marstar site designation for HP9-1

I took a look at Ellwood Epp's stock of CS500-14 Lawman. The reciever is stamped with HP9 (no -1 at the end), and the rep told me though its a copy of the 870, its not a direct copy, so not much is interchangeable. Otherwise it cycled smooth enough...
