Anyone heard or seen any elk? I have a job just canceled for the end of the week, might get my bow out.

I woke up to bugling this morning at 0630 and shortly after my good neighbor shot this monster not much more than a mile from our farm. 300 RUM at a hundred yards. I am not sure if he wants me to interweb his face hence the obscuration but I am fairly confident his Elk is going to score a record. Amazing!

Haven't been out yet, but will be later in the week. Elk usually start bugling herein NE BC in late August...but it has been warm and windy which doesn't help. 29 C here yesterday!
Looking forward to hearing them again!
Holiday Monday I was out with the bow behind the house, had 2 bulls bugling fairly aggressively, one was across the river and the other about 150 yards from me. I ended up calling a few straggler cows to within 20 yards so I decided to take one of them.
Also that is a beautiful bull apu, you must have excellent genetics in your area.
