Any experience with the CZ38?

I was searching for different milsurp pistols available to us Canadians in .380 and came across the CZ38. Such a unique pistol, not sure if I like it or not but I am intrigued none the less.

Are these common? Does anyone here have experience with one and anything to say about it? Czech firearms usually have a decent reputation, would this hold true?

Thanks

Absolutely wonderful pistol, fixed barrel and 1+9 mag (10) total. You learn to shoot double action asap is a +. both mine are SA marked and also have collectability value. less than 5k contracted to Finland by Nazis.
I would not say they are common, but available at times in various conditions. Simple to strip and clean, full size pistol for small cartridge, not hard on recoil, but very accurate

the CZ38 has the worst set of features of any handgun of that era.

Heal release, slide lock w/ no slide release, double action ONLY trigger - the worst trigger of any pistol of that era IMO.

I had an SA marked one for years. It's a wonderful collectible but defiantly not my fav shooter. DAO is annoying enough in a revolver, it's worse in a Pistol.
