This looks like just the ticket for my Marlin. (I should mention it is an 1894C. Don't expect to be shooting it beyond 100 meters.)

Does anyone have any experience with this product or ones like it? I am looking for faster and "brighter" more clear target acquistion.

I have heard sometimes the firesights are too high, or the ghost ring is too inaccurate, or some sights aren't stable, some will fly off with recoil, etc... How will this be for blasting cans at sunset?

The XS ghost ring is another contender, but I'd have to match it up with a Williams or other firesight. Basically, I want something more "open" than the buckhorn (even a U-notch/partridge rear sight), and something much brighter than the off-yellow Marlin front sight.

I have the wild west rear sight on m guide gun- it's the original unthreaded aperture. I found with the locking screw I had to slip in a lead shot in front of the screw tip to get a solid lock. I have the firesights but haven't gotten around to putting them on. If the front sight height is reasonably close to what you have now there should be enough adjustment to sight in at 100 yards.

you will have the perfect combination for cans at twilight. Ghost ring sights are a lot more accurate than people give them credit for or that a lot of people can shoot. plus if you want to chase dime sized groups, you can always get Williams apertures- the new Wild West rear sights are threaded to accept them.

the XS sights seem to be good but the WWG sights seem sturdier. you may want to look at their rail -sight combo system which allow you the flexibility to add scopes
