Any experience with these Ebay Quads

I picked up one of the 50cc kid toys for my girls to play with. Since it cost less than $500 delivered I can't complain. It starts and runs around the hay meadow, which is all it has to do. As for the bigger ones and adult use I cannot say.

My buddy has one of those 110 cc ones, and the thing is a blast, however, if you plan to go in mud at all I wouldn't recommend getting one of these. All of the components aare pretty cheap, and anything that could be plastic on there is. I'd go for a good ol' Honda personally.

they're defn cheap, they dont even have berrings in the wheels, just washers.

Ive got a 110cc for my son, and my brother inlaw has two 50cc's for his kids. they're a blast for the little ones ! awesome deal.

but they wouldnt last long with a 260lb guy like me on them, maybe a few days a week at the most.

If you want a better look at these things Canadian Tire, sells the same thing just under a different name and different price, other wise the same POS.
As for parts, I see the ebayer sells complete engines and other parts for these bikes and if Communist Tire sells the bikes I'm sure they must be able to get parts for them.
If I was to use one of these 2wd units it would be just to get around the logging gates and cruise up the roads that I walk, but I'd get to go farther, faster, I wouldn't even waste my time taking it off the beaten path, and I'd start at the 250cc models.

It really depends on what you want to do with it.
I know one of these units would be better/easier than using my wheel barrow to remove game from behind the gates.

Try Youtube for some video of these things being used, there's couple of items on there.

I have 2 of the smaller ones for the kids. So far very reliable and cheap to run. Definately not for serious mudding. At 1/6 the price of comparable Yamaha I'm happy with them.
I don't know anyone with the bigger machines but have been tempted by them also. Have been waiting for the 4X4's and 2 seaters to come out before I buy.
Let us know if you get one....

hmmm

I saw one at the Castor gunshow. There is alocal dealer there. He said parts are no problem and are very cheap.

He had a 2WD unit there and said the 4WD would be availble in a few weeks.

He also said they are marketed under different names, same unit. That is common with many items from generators to riding mowers to whatever.
He said he had sold some to local ranchers and they seem to work well. Problems??? He said he had a couple of electrical burps. nothing serious and easy fix. [Water in connectors, bad ground things]

It's a no brainer that the 4WD is better suited for hunting the same as a 4X4 truck is better.

Of course you get what you pay for, but does that mean that the others aren't way overpriced????

The 4X4 units will sell for $3000. You d the math. will they take a pounding like some of the bigger machines, I doubt it, but that isn't what it is represented or sold to do.

I have no interest in selling these machines, but I could probably get a lot of use from one. I wouldn't race up and down the bush road or pound the snot out of one on the hills and in the swamp. I don't do that stuff with my horse and he works fine. :D

So have any of you guys that say they are POS, or have nothing good to say actually bought one? Just asking. What you base your opinion on?

One of my brothers has two 50cc and my sister and her husband also have two of the 50cc's....all the kids run them ragged and they never stop....

X2

My 6 year old drives and drives and drives and then my 9 year old drives and drives and rolled it and turned it back over and drives it and then my 12 year old drives it and drives it................. its a tough 50 cc quad.

Cheap? you bet. I paid $600 to my door and I've got that out of it already. I had to put a carb on it because it wouldn't let me set it up right so $35 later... bombing around the yard again.

Giovanni is the brand name.

One things for sure, I'd only buy a knock off from a place that sells replacement parts and I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that Canadian Tires does'nt
