Lol yes they do look great, no arguments from me on that one.
Wow crazy thick beam on that rack in the middle, could almost pass for a young moose

I'd be interested in using Jennings if his work is as good as everyone says. Thanks.

As for 70's Japanese Weatherby parts, I have good luck just ordering from Weatherby in Cal . Some stuff is matte finish so I had to get it blued. They shipped to Toon within a week.

Ok so what I don't understand then is what's the interest in Mark Vs, I own vanguards and my only experience with Mark Vs is trying to work up a load for a friend's which I quickly gave up on (in all fairness I really didn't put a whole lot of time into it). Given their price what's the attraction?

I suppose its a lot of things. The styling will appeal to some, and the stock fit is some people's idea of perfect. There is a rich history in owning one of the calibers that did more to put magnums on the map than any others. Weatherby was the first outfit that I know of that dared to put a factory ammo accuracy guarantee on their rifles, and groups be damned they do seem to have an uncanny knack for putting that first cold shot, high speed factory loaded premium bullet right where it was supposed to go.

Then there are those that buy them for whatever real or perceived status can be derived that way. As a general rule, these people are not a joy to be around. If someone describes himself as a "Weatherby man" (Believe it or not some people actually do that)and isn't laughing about it the chances of him being a #### are better than average. If it is mounted with a Swarovski scope, you can just about bet on it. There are another few brands that seem to attract more #######s than enthusiasts, but Weatherby has been doing it longer. I've got some of those too, so draw your own conclusions.;)
