You know, I had a similar issue a while ago, and Gunnar over at ARMCO MACHINE & PLATING did a fantastic job for me. He is also a CGN dealer.

I have heard of people sending their 1911's back to Baer to have him install a two piece magwell so I know it can be done. I've got one on my Premier II and love it. Gunnar (Armco) is actually putting a new safety on my Premier II as we speak. It comes standard with a huge monstrosity of a thumb safety that makes it difficult to shoot thumb high unless you have very big hands. He is going to fit a wide Wilson combat ambi safety for me that has a much more user friendly shape. He's been in the business for a long time, I would imagine that he could do it for you... Just be aware that he is very busy and more complex jobs may take a while. (I'm not sure how complex fitting and blending a magwell can be)
