Any experiences with the Hornady Interbond?

Groups well (0.6moa) in my .338-06. 225gr.

generally I hear good things, the odd naysayer.

Badbrass, that is a link to a thread about interLOCK bullets. big difference

While I never shot anything with them, I tested them for separation.
The test was a long box filled with phone books and another maculature.

I intentionally did not wet the paper, so the test will show the worst comapred to wet media....

The best performer was Scirocco, followed closely by Interbond.

I'll post the pictures and the other contenders one day, when I find the time.....

Thanks for the reponses! I started playing with the Barnes 165gr TSX but my Kimber 300 WM just does not seem to like them. The groups suck as compared to what this gun is capable of. Kinda disapointed as I have had really good luck with the TSX in other rifles. I may still try playing with the 180gr TSX and see if it does any better. The first time I used the round I tried some factory Federal 165gr TSX. The last 3 groups I got were 1" or better but I have not been able to reproduce these results with hand loads no matter what I have tried, ie: various seating depths, charge weight, etc.

A friend recommended the Interbond as a great performer so I thought I would seek any info from those who have used them. They appear to cost much less than a Barnes or other permium bullets.

Thanks again, always great info on the site!

I haven't seen them used on game, using a early batch of 180s with three rifles the accuracy was between a SST and a Partion, but on the fourth it was one hole with a 4x scope.100m.I think later batchs might be better.

I have four boxes of the 300 grain interbonds for my 375,haven't loaded any up yet.Wholesale had them on for the same price as the regular interlocks so I thought I would give them a try.

I use the 139gr Interbonds in my 7mm-08 and the 150 gr's in my .270WSM. Both calibers shoot sub-moa. I've taken game on with the 7-08, recovered both bullets and very impressed with how they expand and stay together. I'm very impressed with the bullet and will continue to load them, not 2 expensive either.

The TSX bullets need to be seated back further from the lands than standard bullets. Barnes recommends at least 0.050 to 0.070 thou. Did you do that?

I've used the 150 InterBonds out of my 30-06 and shot a couple of mulies with them. Terminal performance was good (both complete pass throughs), but I never could get the accuracy that I wanted.

I shot a few into phone books and they do hold together quite nicely. If these bullets shoot good out of your rifle, they do seem to perform as advertised from what I've seen.

Just wondering what kind of experience people have with this round? I have been looking at trying it in my 300 WM.

Thanks :)

(This is a fairly extensive set of bullet tests in the 30-06 in Africa.)

The quote on Hornady Interbonds runs as follows:

"Hornady Interbonds: Work flawless and 100% predictable 4 out of the 6 were recovered and all had massive expansion with great weight retention. Another hunter used these bullets in his 30/06 AI and had identical performace and recovery percentages as my standard 30/06. The AI version was about 90fps faster at 3000fps. A better bullet would be difficult to choose. I have already posted dozens of pictures and text on these bullets in the past. This years experience is the same. It's a class act by Hornady and difficult to choose another bullet over this design."

I was actually looking for the review of the Interbonds he mentions above but couldn't find it. May be a few pages earlier on that forum.
