Any fun bolt action rifle can shoot 5.56?

I have shot plenty of 5.56 through my CZ 527 with no issues.

From the CZ website:

"Built to CIP specifications, our .223s will happily eat 5.56, since CIP doesn’t differentiate between the two cartridges and just has the higher pressure as its standard. So our .223s will shoot everything from the cheapest Russian steel to match .223 brass ammo."

Definitely get a cz527.
If you want a semi that can use your ar mags and shoot 556, the Benelli MR1 is the ticket.

I feel your pain. I still have 15 ~ 18K rounds of 5.56, fortunately most of it is still factory packaged. Still not sure what I am going to do with it all.

I have some left over too, but only a couple thousand. I traded a rifle I was not shooting for a Handi-Rifle in .223; I was OK but after the Remington 78, the AR15, and they the Handi-Rifle, I realized that I don't like .223 unless I am shooting through my AR. I will never own an other .223. I've gong back to my first love, the 6.5 x 55, and now have 2, a Zastava I bought new, and a Swede that is twice as old as I am but in way better shape!.

I've been doing some research on this subject as well. I belong to a club with a 200 yd range and the .308 seems a bit much for this kind of shooting. Lot's of 5.56 components for reloading and a couple AR platfor scopes could be put to better use right now anyways!
