any good books out there?

what would you,s recommend for a good book to help me get the hang of this?
There are several edited by Sam Fadala and published by Lyman's, amongst others, that are good general guides. Many gunshops have them, and you might find them in a larger Chapters, or google or Ebay "Black powder books" and you may turn one up. Amazon can get you one. Since you're in TO, LeBaron's in Mississauga frequently has Fadala's/Lyman's book, and their price on it is the best around. Al Simmons in Hamilton usually has one and I'm sure Epps does to. $25-$30 depending on where you buy.
The Fadala book is good, but hopefully they have updated the version, as the one I bought last year did not have any information on 777.
It's no big deal if you will be shooting traditional, as almost half the book is load data for real BP and Pyrodex, but I found it was lacking some of the modern information I needed.

I'm with Skip,I 2nd Sam Fadala's books.I picked up the 4th Edition,Revised and Expanded "The Complete Blackpowder Handbook".A good informative read.
