Any good deer hunting around Swan river,Mafeking, Barrows, Manitoba area?

Hi guys since I didnt get drawn for Sask deer hunting I'm thinking of going to Manitoba and try my luck there.
Are the areas I am thinking of going to good areas?
Meaning is there crown land? Is there a lot of posted land? And hows the deer population doing over there?

Lots of land to hunt around and in Porcupine provincial forest but deer numbers are very low. As far as the farm land around Swan River goes deer numbers are getting better but unless you are a friend or family member of the land owner very hard to get permission on good hunting land.
