Any good loads using challenger shot shells?

Challenger are Cheddite - you can get info on the Hodgdon web site. Given their hull construction, I would limit the amount of reload cycles to one, maybe 2.

I have a ton of Challenger hulls I picked up at the club. I had a heck of a time finding a load for them because the Challenger uses a wad that is not commonly available. I tried the Federal 123S and while they worked I got depressed crimps. In addition to the Hodgdon site Alliant lists Cheddite hull loads with Red dot, Green Dot & American Select and Federal 123s wads.

cosmic is correct in that the hulls, while usable, don't last long. 2-3 reloads max is what you're looking at although if you're getting them for free like I did that's not an issue.

They are free for a reason
For me I don't waste quality components in these hulls but I am spoiled with a good stash of AA, STS and GM
Cheers
