Any gotchas to beware of when dropping r700 into Bell & Carlson medalist stock?

I've done a pile of reading and research about folks that have used JB with good results... as well as friends who are engineers who have used it for things that quite frankly, scare the crap out of me, lol :) I've looked at Devcon, and the price is rather silly, though I am inclined to do things that way (ie do them right). Although the more I think about it, the more I think I'll just take the thing to a gunsmith, since I'm new at this, and would rather not f--k thing up.

Still trying to figure out where I can find and buy JB-Weld and Minwax off the shelf in the T-dot. Getting sick of buying things online. Went to Canadian Tire, could find no JB.

You got to go to the Automotive dept for JB. If you can't find paste wax, buy neutral shoe polish.

There's a reason why gunsmiths don't use JB weld. For such a permanent modification, why not pay the extra $30 for the right stuff?

Most engineers know very little these days. Trust me, I'm in the same field and see it every day.

JB weld is a great product, but its main use should be field fixes and last resorts. Proper fixes rarely involve JB.
