any gunsmiths in canada able to do a 1911 bobtail mod?

Im looking to have a bobtail mod done to an STI Ranger II but can't really find anyone to do it. Armco is backed up and said at this point it would take till next winter to get the gun back to me...

Is anyone else familiar with this modification and can get it done for me in a shorter manner?

It's a pretty straight forward job, I keep thinking of ordering the jig from brownells and doing my springfield...most good smiths who do any custom work (Ie not just mounting scopes and replacing springs) should be able to do it.
