Thoughts on Burris Black diamond 30mmtube 8x32 ballistic mil dot? The bullet compensator works on 12 power and you can down load charts for many different calibers from their site. Dose anyone know how to judge the distance/size of say coyote/deer etc using the mil dot dot feature on these scopes. These ballistic mil dots are not he same as the oval mil dot but are round instead. I remember someone told me the real mil dots originally designed to judge distance
by the size of the enemy. Dose anyone know a link to learn how to use this reticle?

I believe the football shaped mildots are used by the US Navy and the round dots are used by the Marines and Army IIRC. IF I'm wrong someone please correct me. If you're looking for a link, this is the best I've found on the net. It even has a small "game" and a "classroom" to teach you haw to properly use the mildots in your scope. w w w.mil-dot.com/ Just remove the spaces between the w's. Good luck.
