Just received two rifles from a friend.
The one that I am lookign at right now has a serial number on the band by the stock on the right hand side C12###.
The only other markings are on the left side of the reciever and are "R.O.F.M. No4Mk1 1941"
I know what No4Mk1 means but the R.O.F.M and the significance of the 1941 I do not know. This is my first Enfield so I sure would appreciate any help. I searched the R.O.F.M but found nothing.
Thanks all!
(I received two Lee Enfields, a Remington 870 Wingmaster and an old .22 bolt from my friend....just doubled the collection like that!)
