Hello All,

My father has a chance to buy a CIL 180 from a friend of his, but neither one of them know much about the gun. Could anyone here give me a bit of info on the history and possible performance of this rifle? Also, could anyone give me an idea what it would be worth in vg-excellent shape?

Cheers,

Corey

Anschutz 64 action, same as a 190 but with a sporter stock.
Usually shoot well.
Mine with the Anschutz target sights was $316 including taxes this year from a gun store.

The 180 is a made by Anschutz, with a M64 action, fully adjustable trigger, and peep sights ( originally Ancshutz match sights)
The reason for the high quality sights was the 180 was designed for sporting class smallbore shooting.
These are accurate rifles, with the same care going into the barrels as their 54 action free rifles and standard class rifles.
They are an incredible deal for someone who wants a hunter class silhouette rifle, or for a younster who is starting smallbore shooting.
I got my first 180 about 40 years ago, used it continually and it will still shoot X's!
Levi's apparaisal is about on the pin as far as value goes....

They're nice high quality and super accurate gun's! I have the CIL/Anschutz 180, 190 and 310. :)

They've been discussed here a number of times. Here's a couple links...
