They sent me a little package in the mail asking me to join etc etc, and I was wondering if anyone else here has also, and is it worth it or not?

They offer the chance to product test stuff in the field, write a report, and then keep the item...just wondering if anyone has doen this?

I got mine today, as well.

I htink it's if you order form SIR, as they sent it to my business adress, and the only hunting prducts shipped here come fomr SIR or Higginsons Powder...

It's trash.

Hmmm my only order so far has been from Marstar :!: :?:

So they must also must sell info! Freaking great! I can't see how else they got my info as I do not fill out and product registration cards etc, and never have.

Oh I hate it when people sell my info.

Glad I asked...she is going in the trashpile.

Actually, now that I think of it, I've had a gun delievered form Marstar at least once here... :|

TO my work adress has been

Marstar
SIR
Higginsons

I think that is it. The only other one MAY have been Russels, but I don't think so...

I can't think of any other possible link, but them.
Maybe the registry is selling info.
And it is a pretty specific target group it is geared towards.

OFAH and there ilk sell the lists.

I get the application, about this time every year, since they started. Never bothered to join. It also say that as a member in good standing.

RePete.

hmm companies selling your info... isn't there a law against that?

Ya unfortunately not. Big money in selling information... Millions of addresses for the taking.

Its junk you may as well flush your money down the toilet

x2 Really... When was the last time you got something really nice for absolutely nothing?

OFAH and there ilk sell the lists.

I have been scratching my head as to how I got this as well. I thought SIR but I haven't ordered in a year. I agree that it has to be OFAH. Guess what? The next day I get similar bull#### from the "Handy Man Club of America".... Jeez.... Do you ever wonder how many trees are wasted for this crap? They sent it to me it an orange 11"x14" envelope. There are times that my personal mail gets lost in the mailbox from all this crap.   I find it as offensive and obtrusive as if someone barged into your kitchen and sat at the table and tried to sell you something. Why don't these #######s advertise like anyone else - BUY AN ADD IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER.

My purchases have been from SIR,Russels,Whoresale Sports,Marstar.
I fell for it and subscribed
I don'nt mind some of the articles mind you,but I won't do it again.
I'll stick to Canadian Hunting mags

Huntsman

Hey Huntsman...At least you now have the funky little Blaze Orange plastic wallet for your Regs, and licences.

I'm not on any OFAH list...

But you're on NAHC's and someone else's.

If you get junk mail that's got a prepaid return envelope, stuff the crap back in it an mail it back to them. I do that with all my crap. If more people do that they may get the idea that we don't want it.

RePete.

never ordered through the mail from any of the aforementioned retailers but i did sign up for a canadian tire card where the girl spelled my name wrong and the same spelling showed up on the NAHC application...hmmm....

I didnt mind there magazine. I never received anything to try but I always like reading about huntiing wether its in US or were ever.
