I am looking for some clarification as I am pretty unfamiliar with milsurp type rifles and can't find much about this online. I was told that certain M1 Carbines often have issues with 30 round magazines if the mag latch is not of the proper type. I am unable to find much info on this but since I trust the source I am curious if I will have any issues using 30 round magazines with new production Auto-Ordnance rifles. I have two on the way as well as several dozen magazines so I am looking to nip any potential issues in the bud here...

Not that you can load 30 rnds in a mag anymore but back in the good old days I never had a problem.
Shot lots of full capacity 30 rnd mags out of several surplus carbines back in the day .
All had the standard mag catch .

If you are taking about the Kahr Arms M1, people have stated that you need to just use Kahr arms Auto Ordnance mags and not M1 mags by any other manufacture, lots on FTFeed with other mags. I have not tried any other mag in mine, just have bought their mags

I have confirmed that it has the extra latch point for the 30 round mags. It will be a while until I get my 5/30 mags but I am guessing all will be well. I understand I can't use the 30 round mags in proper form in this country legally but since I often travel to the US and am comfortable filling out an NIA form 6 this is a concern.
