Any left hand IPSC Shooters

I heard that at the next GA they are going to ban left handed shooters due to safety reasons? Initially it will be a "soft" ban, with left handed shooters getting Procedurals for each shot fired. However, after this initial transitory period left handed shooters will be expected to retrain themselves to shoot right handed, as God and Jeff Cooper intended.

Hi Grunt
I am a lefty and shoot a CZ 85c in production. It is a fully ambi gun so I like it. Its a great accurate gun and a good place to start. I will eventually get a .40 in a 1911 platform for Standard but production is a good place to learn IPSC and also cheapest to shoot. And that is what u need to do is shoot a lot to get better.

Welcome to IPSC

Cheers

Rob Leatham is left handed. He trained himself to shoot freestyle right handed. Seems to have worked out well for him.

HungryBeagle- get out! seriously? hmmmm

as for the OP's question. M&P, Beretta 9x series (92, 90TWO, 96 etc), Walther P99, Sig pistols (a variety), the new HKP30 series as well as a few other HKs, the new Glock when it finally hits Canada (Gen IV), Tanfoglio Stock II, CZ (Shadow etc), are all pretty much lefty friendly. Mag catch can be reversed, many have ambi safeties where required, and a few have ambi slide release/catch levers. Find the one that works for you, and go for it.

the next GA?
I don't get it, is this some kind of joke
just as I'm getting into the sport I get banned? :(

The next General Assembly. Also on the agenda is right handed/left eye dominant shooters. They will probably get slightly longer to conform (right/right). But you never know.
If we want our sport to advance (Olympics) we need to be genetically pure. No weird mutations allowed. With the level of testing done by the IOC we need a clean slate if we ever hope to make it in.

At last!

It's about time! :dancingbanana:

Everyone know's lefties are Satan's spawn

I'm glad to see we will finally be free of this demonic contamination :bump:

Long live God's clean and pure shooting sport...IPSC

John ;)

The end goal is for all IPSC shooters to be right handed, right eye'd, speak engllish, be 6 feet tall & 180 lbs, have blonde hair, blue eyes, white skin, and be veegan that wears size 11 shoes, only shoots A's and never tries to game a stage.
It will take some time and a few people might get their feelings hurt but once we reach this goal the world will be a safe place for the childern and that's what's really important.

Madness and Slavex, Just think how much easier it will be for the course designers without lefties and people under 6 ft tall to contend with.

So much easier. Once the weight minimums and maximums come into effect in January (135lbs-240lbs for men and (85-125 for women) it'll be even easier. Of course the new body gauge is going to take some time getting used to. Thankfully the diet is working and I'll easily make the cut.
