Hi, I've got a new barrel in 356TSW and could use some loading info. In particular TOL round dimensions.

I've got a lot of W231 and bullseye powder if anyone has some loads with that.

Has anyone shot 9mm out of a 356TSW barrel?

Thanx guys.

I found a couple of cases once...

Is this that new PPC gun of yours?

This is about all I have:
max overall length of 1.169" with round nose bullets. It's usually best to stay around 1.135-1.145" with flat nose so they'll feed well in the mag.

and...

I have been loading this round for a while and this is the load that has proven the most accurate for me in my 5inch 3356.
124gr FMJ .355 9mm bullet
7.5gr. Accurate 7 powder
OAL 1.160

The usual disclaimers apply...

Lots of advice on loading it as though it were a 9x23...

Send me a reminder when I'm back in Canada this week and I'll see if any of my powder company reloading pamphlets from circa '95 have any data on this cartridge.

The other thing Koldt, is to just call the manufacturers of your powder of choice direct and ask them if they will share some info with you. I get pretty good results doing that most of the time.

Is this that Federal Round that they made for a couple years? If its the one Im thinking of, it is a 9mm bullet but the the 2 cartriges arnt interchanable!

Rick, thanks dude. Ya that's the gun.
I could call, but this was my starting area. I'm being lazy as usual.
There probably won't be any data from 95. This was a short lived round from a few years ago.
I'm going to shoot a few round of 9mm through it with the bullet seated a bit out. It won't headspace on the mouth as it should, but we'll see what happens.

"...9mm out of a 356TSW..." Won't headspace at all. The 9mm case is about a 1/2 mm shorter. You can trim 9 x 23 Win or 9mm Largo to 21.5mm.
There doesn't seem to be any load data on-line for the .356 TSW. However, one post on another forum(BrianEnos.com from 2007) indicates that 9 x 21 load data will do.
Starline, apparently, makes brass. Not likely readily available up here though.
