I have a numbers matching 1916 DWM 4" 9mm Luger and I am wondering what history it has. Was it issued to the army or navy? Did only officers get them? Send me to a link if you want. Here are a couple of pics. Thanks for any info.
Google "Luger P08" There are lots of sights that have Serial number and unit marking info. Your pistol is army if anything. Navy lugers have very unique rear sights and longer barrels.
