Hello,
I am starting on an M305 build in the Red Deer area and was hoping there might be some local guys doing the same or might like to mentor me thru some parts of the build, swap ideas ect. Drop me a line, Thanks

Dave

isn't Tactical Teacher heading out west?

EDIT: yup, looks like he has an M14 clinic on 13 Sept at The Shooting Edge in Calgary. Check out his website and his page on CGN

I am in CGY at TSE on Sunday 13 September and I could swing through Red Deer on my way to Edmonton and St Paul after my tree days of clinics 13,14, and 15 September

Let me k ow if you need a hand at that time in between my CGY clinics and St Paul, AB CQB clinics on 19-20 September

Cheers, Barney

Ah yes local neighborhood networking for helping each other out; that's the kind of community building I am talking about.

I spent a few hours with mr.bean last night and soon he will become a Jedi master. Ha ha ha ha hey I love seeing you guys help each other both at my clinics and here on the CGNutz forums. That's why we have a community that's helpful. :)

We are great! ;)

Cheers, Barney

Hey Guys,
As TT said i was able to have the master over to my home to go over my M305/M14 with me. Was a great experience have a man of Barneys caliber over to go thru the rifle with me.When you have this kinda one on one instruction with a man with 32 years under his belt you learn a lot, and out side of a class room well the level of personnel instruction really ingrains the information. At this point i have a great rifle and some knowledge and would like to help any others in my area, a kind play it forward for folks that may need some help with there rifles tune ups in order to achieve there "Ping".And have a group of M14 guys here to shoot with Like Heyrosco.Drop me a line if i can help or you like a friend at the range.
On a side note i have to say Barney is one of the great ones guys! He came to my home as a friend, on his own time and dime just to help me on his day off from clinics.I was able to share a meal with him and get to know a true gentleman.I have started a new friendship i hope will last a life time.He truly inspired me with his presents.I must also thank him for his service to our country both past and present and for his role with our men and women in uniform. Thank you Barney! Jedi Master for real

Oh oh, My head is gonna explode.

I had another day off today and I spend over 6 or was it 8 hours in the Woodbine area of CGY...hey, that's Stephen Harper country!!! LOL :p

What a great couple of days off doing private home M14 clinics here in Alberta, Kinda glad I can do the "days off" thing with M14 fun, too. Just like back home in Ontario.

Cheers and good night! :)

Barney

Yea, another plug for Barney (TacticalTeacher) here.

He came by my house on one of his days off after the M14 and CQB clinics he put on, and took the entire day to show me and a buddy how to completely bed in an M14 type rifle. Start to finish. Showed me the expensive ways, cheaper ways, best ways to do it, and we went through it all. Just popped the receiver out of the stock a couple of days ago (I didn't have time beforehand) and it popped out great. Took a few good wacks to get it to come out, so it was a real nice snug fit. Going to skim bed it again now, just to make sure everything is in perfect contact, but now I have the knowledge to do so.

He also took the time to help out my buddy who wasn't able to make it to the clinic at TSE. We both learned a whole lot!

Was very happy/surprised that someone like TT was able and willing to take an entire day out of his schedule to spend it with us. Learned a lot, and made a good friend, in the process.

I'd love to help out anyone in Calgary who needs some help - obviously I don't have the experience Barney has, but I'm sure I can help get some things worked out/figured out. Generally fairly busy with my daughter, but no doubt can make some time.
