any modern 9mm revolvers?

Hi guys,

Are there any modern 9mm revolvers on the market (modern in the sense that it's possible to get holsters, moon clips, etc for them)... ? Thanks!
 
You can get a Ruger Blackhawk convertible .357/9mm. Not sure if they still make them, but I have seen a few used ones for sale. There is one at Ellwood Epps in Orillia Right now in VG condition for 529$
 
i handled a ruger SP101, which was a 5 shot 9mm, but was prohib, with full moon clips. very compact and well balanced with the 3" barrel, i was the lawyer for the estate, and passed on the gun to a friend with a prohib PAL, he loves it.

smith and wesson could still have a restricted 9mm revolver model, but the 9mm concept was more common for prohib size carry. hope you find what you are looking for. cheers
 
I have one of the S&W 547s. Had to get the barrel replaced to make it "restricted". One of the nice things about it is that it doesn't require "moon" clips to hold the cartridges. Many years ago Ruger made a 9mm-only revolver that used a different method, but also didn't require clips. I like the concept and find the actual shooting a pleasure and accurate. Both Manurhin and Arcus offer 9mm revolvers, but I don't think they're obtainable outside Europe. You might write Mark at Questar to see if he thinks it's feasible.
 
The 9mm revolver is a good idea. I find I shoot a revolver more accurately, and if you do not reloads, the 9mm ammo is usuall cheaper than 38 Special.
 
Ruger used to make the Six in 9mm, so you may find one. More recently they made the SP100 in 9mm. Have heard the 9mm SP100 was dropped, but not certain.
 
NAA, the M547s I have shot are all great. It is a very nice combo for someone that wants a defensive handgun that doesn't kick a lot or cost an arm and a leg to shoot. Regards, Richard:)

Richard - I have no doubt the 547 is a great wheelgun, after all it is on the S&W K frame and came with a 3 or 4 inch heavy barrel, so the 9mm would be easy to shoot in it...

I have a S&W Model 13 [K frame; .357 Mag] with a 4" heavy barrel. I am set up to load both .38 Special and .357 Magnum. I can load light .38's for plinking or duplicate 9mm factory ballistics in it in .38 Special cases or go up to full house .357's. For me, that is a way more practical wheelgun than the 547 would be. The Model 13 is in near pristine condition and I only paid the princely sum of $250 Cdn for it.

Albeit, if a 547 did become available up here I'd probably pick it up just for the novelty, though.
 
NAA, I had a M13 and I found its recoil noticeable with full loads. To me, the N-Frame and L-Frame or Ruger GP 100 make more sense for heavy 357 Mag loads. Surprisingly, my S&W 3' M60-10 handles recoil better than a K-frame. Regards, Richard:)
