Any O/U shotguns above $1000 worth buying?

I’ll also add, a Great set of chokes makes a big difference in lower priced guns!!!

I have a set of Benelli chokes I use in my Kral, way better than factory and not that expensive vs the price of a high end shotgun.

I’d go with a used Browning. Guns with fixed chokes are pretty inexpensive. If you want a new(er) o/u with removable chokes…hard to beat the value of a Churchill or Huglu.

i don't shoot clays much but there are lots of good used sheet guns for sale at shows , or gunshops.
I had a Win 101 sheet gun I shot for years., they generally sell for 800.oo-1000.oo , the old fixed choke models.
I sold a nice Ruger red label with choke tubes for 1200.oo
Have a look in the EE, club shoots may have people with extra guns for sale, or they are up grading

I've never held the 101 in particularly high regard. That being said I was told the other day that the 101 was "The crispy duck to the hamburger that is the Superposed". He's far away so I can't fight him for such a comment. but maybe I've judged the 101 too harshly?

I've got a Mossberg (International), Silver Reserve II, in 20 Gauge.

Zero issues and I shoot about 5-6 rounds of skeet a month, and then hunt with it in the fall.

I picked up a set of Carlson's extended skeet chokes for it, for around $90.

Going on 4 years now.
