any one buy one of these RUSSIAN CAPTURE GERMAN K98 8MM MAUSER, BENT BOLT from FSRC ??

These were to be RC's , how were the markings and the barrels ??

The picture on their web site , they looked to be in very nice condition.

Lets see what you got ..........................
 
I have the model 140 on hold there while the rcmp are delaying the process with beurocracy

Will let ya know when it arrives in a few weeks
 
Got my rifle from tradeex today, It looks great. Needs a good cleaning as its covered in machine oil (and or cosmo)
This is a war model as it locks the bolt open when the chamber is empty, no swastikas or stuff like that on it. Barrel has good rifling made in 1944, Has several areas that have been obviously milled and it is re-stamped with the Yugo crest. Ammo is $34/box or more so will be shooting this like I smoke Cuban Cigars.

no cracks at the wrist, there is small mark on the left fore-stock. I could care less this rifle has been a lot of fun to clean and refinish. Yes I pulled an all nighter.
3rd coat of True Oil on the stock. Hoping it may be the last or possibly a 4th coat. I did not sand the stock at all, simply used some steel wool after I drained and dried it out of cosmoline. (I scrubbed alot with brushes and green pads). Between coats of true oil I have been using steel wool again. This I found preserved all the markings on the stock and in fact made them easier to see. The small dings and marks add character to the rifle that has been thru hell and back.
