My dad use to take us ground hog hunting with it in the 'Valleys' Mississauga (was Cooksville at the time), Ont.
Sitting in my closet now waiting to get it to the range this summer and fire it up again.

Any other Gevarm owners?

Don.

Sold mine about '69. Bought new in 1966 if memory serves. Shot lots of gophers with it, 20 rnd mag was cool. Pretty accurate with open sights and good eyes.

Same here. Haven't had mine out in ages. It'd never win any target matches firing from an open bolt as it does, but it's certainly good enough for a grouse's head at 100' or so.

Fourtunately I have two of the mag clips, I think they are 10 rounds? Now I just have to find something to shoot it at.

Hey dude. I have the option to pick up one exactly like this. Its mint and still has packing grease. Likely never shot. Price the guy wants is 225$ Is this fair market price? I like the idea of it being open bolt. Its pretty unique.

Oh Yeah.......Thread REVIVAL!

I have this exact same model ^^^ (same as OP) I also have two of the 8 shot magazines, I have never had the 20 but wish I did. I have had this gun since the 70's and love it. I think $225 is likely a fair price, I would not sell mine for that. Make sure it comes with magazines cause apparently they are hard to come by, I haven't looked for any in quite some time.

Yeah it comes with the mag. I really wasnt in the market for another .22 semi but I really like the open bolt and the fact that it looks like its never been shot

I have an E1 - was the first rifle I ever bought. Accuracy is not the best, but it is fun to shoot, and it was great for gophers (way back when/once upon a time ago).

I have an E1 as well. Got it new as a kid in the early seventies. It still sports the original Weaver scope it came with. It took a lot of ground hogs while I was growing up. I don't shoot it as much as my 10/22 but I will keep it forever! Too many memories with my dad.
