Hornady load data is a little tame. Also I find that if it competes with one of their pet cartridges the load data will be limited and perhaps even a bit misleading. If you have the 8th look at 260 Rem and 6.5 Creedmore. Major sleezery like not loading the 260 to 2.8" to make the 6.5 look better. It doesn't appear to be the case with the 300 WSM though. I trust the data for safety but I think if your looking for max loads your on your own. Perhaps not a bad thing...
