I have a win 9422 and I have been wanting to mount a scope or a red dot on it. What I am Finding is the rails machined into the top of the receiver seem to be really small and the grove is to thin. I have mounted a scope with some Rimfire rings but after tightning them down the lightest touch will knock the scope and rings off. Anyone have rings that fit and stay on? What make? any suggestions? keep in mind that drilling and taping is out as this is a collectable.
Any one mount a scope on a 9422?

This i believe will mark your receiver with the set screw that holds it in place, not really ideal if you want to keep in collectible condition. I looked at lots of options as well and tried some cheaper rings and ponnied up and bought the leupolds as that's the only thing that looked 1/2 decent and they work well.
Has a 2-7 leupold rimfire on it and yes it looks kinda out of place as had to go higher than wanted to clear hammer and rear sight and the short receiver length not lots of wiggle room for ring spacing and eye relief, have fun!

I bought an airgun cantilever type mount to try to get the scope mounted more forward, but still didn't like it, and looked like c rap. It did seem to hold ok though.

I put an old Pecar scope with integral mounts on my 9422mag. Works well helps with the long shots and my bad eyes.
Them 22 ring mounts vary a bit just make sure they fit and lock up good with lots of contact.
