Any one put an aftermarket trigger on a FN Winchester 70?

Curious to hear if anyone has put an aftermarket trigger in their FN Winchester 70?

I'm going to try adjusting the MOA trigger to see how much better it gets. Believe mine is sitting around 3.5 lbs.

Bit of research shows Jewell and Timney make aftermarket triggers for it and the Jewell gets very good reviews but requires some work on the stock for it to fit (particularly in the trigger guard area). I'm often lacking in the mechanical department so if I did this I'd try to find someone to do it for me. The Jewell also isn't cheap and I can't find one in stock .

What have others experiences been?

Interesting spring replacement I found. 2.5# should be pretty decent for a hunting rifle.

i got mine to 3.5 pounds. I want to get it at 3 pounds or slightly less.

Ill let you know how it goes. Won't turn it into a Cooper trigger but I'll be happy with 2.5lb so long as creep and overtravel don't change. $6.95 is a heck of a better deal than a couple hundred or more.

A qualified smith can 'work' it and adjust it to 2 pounds...
