This is my first one, got it for xmas used from Tradex, finally got out this weekend to do some load development and it was very promising. This one is in 6.5x55, less then 1800 of them made in this chambering.
It definitely wasn't shot much, or cleaned properly by the original owner as it had tons of caked on packing oil. I soaked the trigger group in mineral spirits for a day to get it cleaned out.
Overall a really smooth bolt action, design is simplified for the time (one action length, one barrel profile, not unlike Tikka today). Trigger is very good and adjustable, fit and finish is great, stock profile is comfortable, bit heavy but not terribly. Quite happy with it and it's a good companion to my HVA1600 and PH1100LW both in 6.5x55.

 
I have one in 300 win. Bought new years ago $350. Is very accurate with 165 hornady's. Sorry don't know how to post pictures.
 
Had it shooting an inch with H414 and D4064 with 120gr pills, 140gr is the next work up load with IMR & H4831.
It had quite a bit of copper fouling after that session, but I consider that a good thing as it's not even broken in yet.

I think I'll be hanging onto this one for a while...of all my 60's/70's era Eurotrash rifles this may be my favorite lol. Reminds me a lot of my old man's Sako Forrester in .243... handling, smoothness, just an all around decent gun.
However... for whatever reason all the PH/HVA and now this BSA have at least 1 quirk to make them just not perfect.
With my HVA 1600/1640's it's the long heavy trigger, otherwise perfect.
With the higher end PH Mausers, it's the stubby bolt handle that gets me.
With the BSA they use 1 piece of plastic on the gun...the mag hinge button.
All of these really are not huge deals...just things to get use to if you own em, and if you are like me make you scratch your head a bit thinking WHY go through all the polishing, and fitting, tuning etc, and just ignore that one eyesore/out of place/corner cutting measure.
 
If you picked that up this past Christmas I too was looking at it, but have a 6.5x55 Husqvarna already. Instead I opted for a very nice looking BSA in the same batch in .30-06, with an eye toward re-barrelling it.
