Any pimped out Tokarevs out there?

There was the pink nail varnish art statement. I would have gone for the halloween glow-in-the-dark to be tactical, but you can't please everybody.
You don't see things like airsoft Bren gun conversions with the Toks like you do with the 10/22. I love it when people spend $500 upgrading a $99 item and it looks terrible.
Anyway, duct tape the grips up before they fall off and be stylin'.

$99? Who cares the price. It is a fully functioning pistol and more rugged than the fancy name-brand expensive ones.
Most pistols are made cheaply then the taxes and unconscionable mark-up gets slapped on.

I like my Tokarevs for they are cheap, simple and reliable.

In the UK, deactivated ones are many times more expensive.

I "de-horned" one of my Norc Tok's to make it more friendly to the web of my thumb and forefinger. But after I was done with the edges and safety I reblued the silver parts and you can't really see the difference. Sure made a huge difference to the feel though.

I read somewhere that during the war Soviet Tokarevs had wooden grips, is this true? and if it is does anyone make any repro ones?

here are the two news looks from Zastava from Serbia at the Annual Arms fair Partner 2009

zastavas are good guns
my father had one for his service pistol back in serbia
it never misfired

If you put the wood grips on the hard chrome slide you could call it the "TT Elite" and charge an extra $400 (it worked for Sig, didn't it)

I rechambered one to 38 Super and added a Muzzle Brake, but I guess that "Pimped Out" only refers to cosmetic changes (all show and no go) ... :p
