Any pistol suggestions for the soon to be Single Stack IPSC Division?

looking into that

.40 cal with tripp 10 round mags, that way you can jump between major/minor depending on how the match is built

I've already started looking into that, cause I miss shooting my ss .45 and am contemplating modify my colt 1991A1's top end into .40...
It'll cost approx. $1000 with all the required parts and labour (as my lower is already tricked out)
and given some thought into the STI Trojan as well, but it'll cost me $2000, after buying it and finishing off with those few mods. it will need to be fully good to go for std. div. & classic div...

The tripp 10 rnd mags are $38 each.

hello Madness

the way i see the rules i don't think you be allowed to shoot major with 10 rounders

19. Magazines accessible to a competitor during a COF must not contain more than 8 rounds (for Major power factor) or 10 rounds (for Minor power factor) at the Start Signal.

my 2 cents about it
as usual IPSC rules sucks

Great, a new SS division, just what I needed.............last year! I just dumped 3K+ on a CZ open gun because I didn't think I could get by with my STI Trojan .45.

they both have triggers and slides so it should be allowed. should have just called it 1911 division, since all the other countries don't get the term "Single Stack" as a synonym rather then a technical spec

It must be a colt 1911 based pistol as designed by John Browning. 1911's and only 1911's are allowed in this division

That's exactly my point - both have slides, triggers, slide stops and first shot single action.
