Any Plans for a .308 AR? MAJOR UPDATE MAY 8 2014

you think your mp is useless, I live in toronto, I have to ask permission to bring my p99 to the only store in town to fit a holster, oh did i mention that i bought the pistol at that shop and that the firearm is registered in my name, and i can only assume that the government found me worthy of owning such an awesome thing since they gave me a licence to do so. and just cause i feel like ranting now, i get in #### at the range for double tapping a target thats 10' away from me with a 20' high berm behind it.

now i repetitive stress from face palming.

at least i can still save my pennies to get an A.T.R rifle.
sometime this country kicks ass.

Well I hope you sent it in with ratty old wood furniture on it so it has a chance of passing the Labs not to scary protocol for a NR rifle.;)

It IS a "modular" style firearm, so in theory the ugly plywood furniture it is now wearing "could" be upgraded to something like a PRS stock and some sort of modern fore end.;) After all with trees being endangered and plastic being hard to dispose of, we should used recycled plastic for the furniture I think. To use more ecologically friendly materials like recycled water bottles that seem to be a scourge for the ecology for furniture can only be seen as a good thing.

If you're getting a sight picture, who cares how fast you're shooting. These old guys at my range give me "age discrimination" because I look young when I'm actually middle-aged, and I exhibit better control. I emptied a mag in a few seconds and they give me grief like I'm not aiming at all, despite a better grouping than they were getting. So I switched memberships, F### them. Shut up and take my money.

I just purchased an MG34 and an MG42, the plan it to take them apart and see what it will take to replicate them but obviously in a semi auto form.

In all honesty with not knowing if or when the feds will deal with this, the Famae would be what I would do. At least then you are shooting which beats the hell out of waiting. Besides even if they did say NR today we still would be 9 months getting the 1st run of them made. The other thing is then you have justification to buy another gun as 1 can never have too many:cool:

How much would your versions of the belt feeds compare to TNW's?
Any chance on a redo for your 1919?

No clue on price as it is waaaaaay to early to even get a feel for that.
We will revisit both the 1919 and M2 when time permits. This is a significant undertaking for a small shop and when you add in the very limited market.......

SO would it have to be some sort of recognizable AR10 clone, or would anyone be willing to take a chance on buying something that should be non restricted, uses Magpul or DPMS style AR10 mags, an AR10 bolt/chargeing handle and most AR furniture and IS accurate?
Just testing the waters for input, I have a plan...........
That would be absolutely awesome, provided the price is right. Non-restricted with magpul mags and some AR-10 functionality would be epic.... I'm not gonna pay infinity trillion dollars for one though.
I think the takedown pins are very convinient and if you can use them in your design the better.

Same with the bolt catch. But I could live without it if I had to.

But so far it sound really good.
X2. If RA can do it, you guys can do it.

A non restricted accurate ar-10 style gun would be amazing and would sell like crazy given that nothing out there currently fits that description
