Any recent Glock 22 owners?

Just wondering if anyone has purchased a new G22 (one made within the past 6 months or so)? If so, any problems with it? FTF's? Do cases still bulge slightly at the base?

Also, have you added an aftermarket bbl for the G22 or other Glock .40? Any FTF's with the tighter support?

Thx.

My G22 was purchased in April and manufactured late in 2005 (end of December if I recall, HUK***). So far I've put over 1000 rounds through it, primarily 180 grain Winchester WinClean. Not one failure of any type to report.

With respect to bulged brass, I am unable to visually detect it in mine. Perhaps it's too subtle for me to see but I have not noticed it on any of my cases.

I can't visibly see the difference between my Glock 22 and XD40, not sure why since in theory the cases after going through the Glock are indeed bulged. This past Saturday I ran reloads that had only been shot through my Glock 22 (i.e. in theory bulged cases) through an XD40. No problems in the XD40 which was a bit of a surprise, with all the talk of bulged cases due to the Glock I figured the XD wouldn't cycle or eject properly but no problems at all.

Bought mine in march (HGC series) and had one FTF in about 2000 rounds. Cases do bulge at the base which is typical of .40 in the GLOCK.
Personally I wouldn't buy an aftermarket barrrel unless I start to reload.

mine was purchased june of 2005. i noticed the cases are very slightly bulged at the bottom, but when i run them through the sizing dies they straighten right out. i have about 7000 rounds through it so far, and about 3000 of them are reloads. FMJ bullets only. all parts are stock, no aftermarket barrel.

as far as reloads go: i only use the brass max 3 times, and load toward the bottom end to keep it mild.

Thanks for the replies. I heard a rumour on GT that recent (can't recall exact date or if there was one) that Glock has made their .40 barrels more supported. I recall my old G22 (purchased back in 2000) had these slight bulges. I don't reload (even though I have a NIB Hornady LNL AP), so it was never a concern.

My G19 should be arriving within the month, but if it does not fit my hand to my liking, or I can stand the bbl or something, I will be going back to the G22, which was my first HG. :)
