Hi everyone,

I just bought a zastava m70 full stock and want to buy a new scope for it. I can't find the proper rings or base for it. I did a little search on website that some people say Mauser m98 type rings will fit. It that ture?

Looking to buy a 50mm scope for it, so I probably should buy a set of high rings for it right?

Thanks,
Edward

Consider Leupold FN Mauser 2 piece bases and standard Leupold rings. Some minor filing might be needed on the rear base for bolt clearance. I installed these on my Zastava LKM70 rifles -

I am actually looking at weaver for my CZs. At the same time, trying to figure out which one can fit on the zastava since the description say nothing about this rifle.

Weaver #45 and #46 are the correct bases for your rifle. I have always been able to use medium, not high, rings with 40 mm scopes, and had plenty of room to spare.

warne, weaver, talley name it ...

Warne or Weaver Grand Slam here too for bases, I just prefer steel bases on heavy steel rifles. Plain old Weaver or Burris rings depending on the scope.
I'll use Leopold if there is something wrong with the windage but not my first choice. Just a weak ring/base attachment, never been a fan and seen them lose zero with not very serious tumbles. At least with Weaver set ups, unless something is visibly busted it's still zeroed lol.
