I have a Glock 17 that i haven't used yet and its been sitting in the safe for like 7 years. Any products that you guys recommend? Id like to relube it and lube the recoil spring a bit as well. Anything that prevents rust or gets rid of small amounts of rust if there is some etc? Preferably something not toxic. Also would use it on a rifle.

It's a Glock, almost any lube work on that things, Lol. I never have one missed fired or fail to eject nor not working on me with any gun oil.

I like SuperLube grease for slide and as for recoil spring G96 oil would work. Don't over lube it unless you plans to store it for a while.

Any good quality CLP that is on sale works just fine. Don’t bother with expensive latest and greatest oils. I even bought a litre of 0W20 motor oil, apply it with a Q-tip and it will last a life time on a Glock! I’ve been shooting Glock, have the Glock armorers course, twice, since 1993. IPSC, now IDPA, and they run best on decent CLP or G96 which is a CLP.
Hope this helps. Good shooting!

Sent clp, or g96/balistol work fine as areosol sprays. Odours are ok with these.

I've also tried remoil, which stinks of silicon and gunzilla which stinks of something else.

Steer clear of froglube or any weird stuff.

2 cents.

if you plan to use it I wouldn't oil the springs.

if its for long term storage I would pick grease over oil.
rub any rust off with an oily rag or toothbrush.

basically any thin non cooking oil is fine for Glocks, grab some cheap gun oil at the hardware store and have at it.
